Title I Program - ESSA

Description of Title I Program
Lindenwold School 4 runs a "schoolwide" Title I Program.  The schoolwide designation means that ALL of the Lindenwold School 4 students are entitled to and benefit from our Title I purchased supports and resources.  Decisions regarding the allocation of our Title I resources are decided upon annually in a process that includes a loop of critical processes (data analysis, needs assessment, root cause analysis of barriers, the development of a annual school plan of focused goals for the school year, and implementation and progress monitoring of our goals).  As a school designated as "in need of comprehensive support", we also have the assistance and support of NJDOE officials.

Our 2019-2020 school goals are related to:

1.  Decreasing the percentage of students that are struggling to read on grade level.
2.  Increasing the percentage of students that demonstrate mastery and fluency of grade appropriate math facts.
3.  Decreasing the percentage of ELL students that are struggling to read on grade level.
4.  Reducing the percentage of students that are chronically absent.

In part, Title I funds will be utilized to:

1.  Employ basic skills staff to provide in-class, small group daily reading instruction.
2.  Use Leveled Literacy Intervention as a targeted intervention.
3.  Run an Extended Day and Extended School Year Program.
4.  Use various software programs to support and enhance student achievement.
5.  Employ a social worker to support parents' efforts in achieving better school attendance for their children.

In the spirit of partnership, transparency, and as a requirement of ESSA, we welcome participation in the process and extend an open invitation to all parents to learn more about our Title I Program and our decision making process.  If you are interested in more information, please contact Rick Bulicki, Supervisor of Basic Skills at (856) 783-0405.
